Another take on it. OpenID is a bit hard to grasp until you actually use it. It is quite nice but I get suspect about everything M$ touches.

It’s a lot harder to carve out a niche in blogging. I think video podcasting is way easier to monetize if you have the right mix of skills. Just mix a good combo of sex, humor, and news. Not that easy I know but easier to differentiate than a blog.
