Hackers (film)

Despite the outrageous Hollywood Operating System in full glory, this film was enjoyable and didn’t make me cringe like a lot of other films that feature some kind of heavy computer interaction.  It wasn’t enjoyable because it captured hacker culture at the time but mainly captured the excitement of pubescent misfits finding a realm where they can wield ultimate power outside the traditional sports/academics channels of typical American schools.

It’s also amazing how many promising actors this film showcases before they reached their respective fame.  The music and cinematography seemed pretty good to me as well.  Too bad the writer and director haven’t really left anything major since this film (even this one is more of a cult classic).
