Who cares, we have the best web dev combo going with Textmate/CSSEdit and Transmit. Any other decent competition can only be a good thing.

Well, you wont regret learning those two. TextMate has a lot of powerful text manipulaiton but you have to dig for it (although I wouldn’t mind them licensing the SubEtha engine). CSSEdit keeps getting awesome.

You can check out an unlimited version for 14 days. If Coda works for you $79 is cheap but as “just another web tool”, no thanks.

I’m a bit irritated that I just started learning Textmate and CSSedit when this thing comes out…

It seems CSSedit and Textmate are both far more evolved than Coda, but Coda has the SubEtha thing which may be useful for groups of developers.

And yes, it’s too expensive. I’ll wait for a few reviews.
